Benefits of CBD Oil (Zen) Facial

CBD aka Cannabidiol is the new up and coming trend in not only the Health care world, but the skincare world as well. CBD oil has been crowned the new miracle cure for ailments such as anxiety, insomnia, seizures, you name it!

But what benefits does CBD oil have on your skin and why are we now incorporating this new miracle oil into our skincare routines?

First and Foremost, CBD is short for Cannabidiol and is the non-psychotropic component of marijuana or hemp, meaning it will not produce the intoxication or marijuana “high”. CBD oil lacks the chemical THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) which is the psychotropic component of Marijuana. The oil is usually combined with pure CBD and an ingredient such as olive oil, coconut oil or hemp oil.

Another misconception is that CBD oil and Hemp seed oil are similar, if not the same. Hemp seed oil only contains trace amounts of Cannabidiol if any, meaning Hemp seed oil does not reap the same benefits.

Which skin types is CBD oil best suited for?

CBD oil can be used on various skin types ranging from acne prone skin, aging, and sensitive skin.

What benefits does CBD oil have on Acne prone skin and why should we use it?

Acne is one of the most common skin conditions we see in adults and teens.

-CBD is an anti-inflammatory which will help reduce the redness and soothe the skin.

-The oil also has the ability to adjust how your skin produces sebum, sebum is the oil your body -produces to help protect your skin from environmental factors, however when your skin over produces sebum, it has the ability to mix with other pollutants, dirt, built up dead skin cells causing the oil to become trapped underneath your skin, resulting in acne.

-Cannabidiol also has antibacterial and anti-fungal effects which is another main cause of acne.

What are the benefits for aging skin?

-CBD has been found to be an antioxidant which means it has the ability to reverse the signs of aging (wrinkles, sagging skin, dullness, ruddy skin tone) by counteracting free radical damage, caused by environmental stress and everyday pollutants.

-Cannabidiol also helps to improve blood circulation which gives you the “glow” effect that everyone envies.

-A great anti-inflammatory and moisturizer resulting in the production of collagen.

What are the benefits for Sensitive skin?

As said before, CBD oil is an anti-inflammatory, so it’s great for patients that tend to turn red, have rosacea, break out easily, have eczema etc. The CBD oil will help reduce redness with its soothing properties.

Bottom line.

Whether you’re looking for a relaxing or a corrective facial, with the CBD facial you’ll get it all tied into one treatment. CBD oil has also been known to reduce stress and promote sleep, so why not relax while reaping all the great benefits CBD oil has to offer.
