I’m Getting My First Brow Tint — How Long Will It Last?
Making your morning easier sets your day up for success. Little steps — like setting your coffee maker to automatically brew or laying out tomorrow’s clothes — can help you start off on the right foot.
Brow tinting gives you another way to seize the day. When your brows are already shaped and tinted, you have one less to-do in the morning. You can wake up and head out faster and feel more confident as you do so.
If you’re considering a brow tint, you’re probably wondering how long these benefits last. To some extent, that depends on who you see to get your brow tint and the steps you take immediately afterward.
As experts in brow tints, Elaine Phuah, DO, MBA, FACOI, and our team can help you get the longest-lasting results possible. We use high-quality products to give you lasting results. Before you leave your appointment at Hanami Medspa in Fort Worth, Texas, we will give you tips to help your tint last longer.
How long brow tints usually last
Most people enjoy the results of brow tinting for 2-3 weeks. Your skin and hair type, as well as your skincare routine, impact how quickly your tint fades.
Here at Hanami Medspa, Dr. Phuah and our team talk with you about your ideal outcome for your brow tint. If you’re okay with more dramatic results initially, we can apply a darker tint. This gives you bold brows at first, and helps your results stick around longer because it takes more time for the added pigment to fade out.

Helping your tint last longer
Because we’re seasoned brow-tinting pros, we have plenty of tips to help you extend the lifespan of your brow tint.
For starters, the first 24 hours after your tinting are crucial. Don’t get your brows wet or use makeup on them (you shouldn’t need it, anyway, since they’ll be freshly tinted). Also, avoid exercise or anything else that could cause you to sweat, dampening your brows.
After the 24-hour mark, the tint sets and you can get back to your usual showering and workout routine.
From that point forward, taking a few steps helps your brow tint fade more slowly. We recommend:
- Avoiding oil-based products
- Brushing your brows gently as you groom them
- Using a gentle cleanser and minimal water to keep them clean
- Wearing a headband, sweatband, or hat to keep sweat off your brows during exercise
- Protecting your eyebrows from the sun because it can lighten them
When your brow tint does start to fade, a quick touch-up appointment refreshes it.
Getting your ideal brow shape with your tint
Getting your eyebrows to their desired shade is one thing, but creating the arch you want is a different matter. To help there, Dr. Phuah and our team offer brow lamination. This is a lot like a perm for your brows, moving them into their desired position and keeping them there — usually for six weeks or longer.
We can combine your brow tint with brow lamination during one convenient appointment.
